- Baker, Evans & Morris Take Reserves

Denbigh Town Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Jordan Baker as Reserves Manager.

Baker, 27, returns to the club having managed Denbigh Town Ladies between 2020 and 2021.

The Reserves will now continue to prepare for their second season in the FAW Reserve League North following a positive season last term which will now be built upon by Baker.

We’re also pleased to reveal Baker’s assistants for the upcoming campaign as Aaron Evans and Rich Morris will work with Jordan throughout.

Evans has a unique footballing journey that saw him begin with Everton as a youngster. A hugely popular figure in North Wales football with a number of connections, his time playing and coaching was limited due to his cerebral palsy but now returns to the dugout at Central Park.

Meanwhile, Morris returns to coaching for the first time in a number of years having worked across various sports at development level.

"It's great to be back at Denbigh in a coaching role” said Baker.

"When I got a call from Dewi it was a no-brainer, the vision of the club is second to none and I'm excited to see what the season brings for us".

First Team boss Dewi Llion added “Jordan has a great coaching and playing background and after speaking to him this week is the ideal person to take the Reserves forward.

“It’s a massive part of the club and provides a pathway for our juniors to step into senior football whilst allowing senior local players the chance to represent their town.

“I’m really excited to work closely with Jordan, Aaron and Rich this season as we continue to progress and improve the club”.

Baker was born on the Channel Islands and played semi-professionally for Guernsey before heading to North Wales. He’s played for the likes of Rhuddlan Town and CPD Gronant whilst he also coached with Rhyl Ladies’ Junior Groups before taking on the role of manager at Denbigh Town Ladies in 2020.

He has continued playing since leaving Central Park three years ago but now returns for his first senior men’s role.

Welcome back, Jordie, and welcome to Central Park Rich and Aaron!
