Denbigh started well with Owain Roberts & Stuart Vernon getting plenty of the ball down their wings and causing problems for the ‘Pwll defence. It was no surprise that on 8mins Denbigh made the breakthrough when Ian Evans collected the ball on edge of the box with his back to goal and he turned his marker and with his left foot curled the ball beyond ‘Pwll’s Carl Jones in goal.

Denbigh should of made the game safe in the first 45mins but missed chances was the story of the rest of the half. Roberts with a couple of far post headers should of done better and left back Gethin Lloyd was played through on goal by Roberts but his shot was well saved by Jones in goal for ‘Pwll & it was another pass by Roberts that saw Wilkinson get a headed chance but it was saved well by Jones in goal. ‘Pwll who had to replace injured striker Arwyn Owen with Sean Horgan never really troubled Roberts in Denbigh’s goal who dealt with everything comfortably on his Town debut. But Denbigh nearly had a shock on the stroke of half time when ‘Pwll’s centre half Hefin Danial tried his luck form 30yards to see his shot just clip the crossbar of Roberts’s goal.

Half time Denbigh 1-0.

Second half started with Denbigh getting a great chance in first seconds when a corner by Roberts was somehow missed by Chris Williams from 4 yards out but luckily for Williams Denbigh 2nd goal wasn’t long in coming afterwards. Again it was down their left when Roberts released left back Lloyd and his cross come shot found its way in at the far post for his first of the season.

With Denbigh now completely in control of the game Lloyd thought he had scored his second goal of the game but his celebrations were cut short by the linesman’s flag for offside. For the second week running the centre half pairing of Huw Price and Miles Todd were defending well for Town & it was a case of how many goals would Denbigh score for the last 25mins of the game.

Town substituted Williams & Vernon for Eilir Edwards & Kristian Pierce and from his deeper position in centre midfield on 81mins Wilkinson scored Denbigh’s third goal when he jinked his way in to the opponents area and finished well beyond Jones in ‘Pwll’s goal. Pierce very nearly got on the score sheet for Town when his right foot shot from 20 yards was well saved by Jones.

Denbigh’s 4th goal came in the 88th minute when a long ball from the back by Price found Evans lurking between the 2 centre half’s and he beautifully headed over the on rushing Jones in Pwll’s goal. Pwll nearly had the last word when Stephen Smith their full back who had pushed up front found himself with sight of goal but on the turn he shot wide of Roberts in Town’s goal.
