We are very pleased to announce that the club have chosen Dewi LLion and Matty Jones to manage the first team together and can now look forward to the new season and the challenges ahead.

Both Dewi and Matty impressed during their interview whilst explaining their plans for the club both on and off the field and their overall knowledge and enthusiasm shon through. We were sorry to see Eddie leave but are equally confident that matters are now in good hands. Both are still young men but already have a sound knowledge of the game and an excellent apprenticeship between them. They are highly qualified to coach players with both having the 'A' Youth licence and they are now both on the same course working towards the UEFA 'A' Senior licence.

Dewi was at Denbigh Town with Perry two years ago and last season assisted Eddie and helped us achieve the Runners up spot in the Huws Gray Alliance league.

Matty managed our Reserve side a few years ago before leaving to manage Llandudno Junction and then assist at Rhyl. He took over the first team at Rhyl after manager Niall McGuinness left and helped the club revive and start collecting points again.

We asked Matty how he felt and he replied " I am delighted to have rejoined Denbigh Town as joint manager with Dewi. Having known Dewi for a number of years, I am now really exited by the chance to work alongside him to develop this football club. We have our ideas and plans on the direction we would like to go and are very ambitious and want to kick in after the incredible season the club had last term. I am now looking forward to getting started."

Dewi was equally upbeat " Matty and I have worked together before at Bala u19s and are doing the A license together so we know how each one works and thinks. We hope to start recruiting the right players straight away and want those willing to give it all on the pitch for this club. "

The managers will now get straight to work and we hope to add more news in the coming days and weeks regarding an assistant manager, players and pre season friendlies.
