Our First Team make the journey up the Conwy Valley tomorrow as we return to league action chasing those precious points.
The kick off tomorrow is 2pm at Glan Conwy FC 's Cae Ffwt ground. We currently lie joint second in the league with Glan Conwy in sixth. We met back in September and Denbigh scraped a win thanks to a single goal by Dan Clarke.
This is a tough match for manager Dewi LLion who is aware that Glan Conwy have had six home games and have only lost one this season. " Yes, We know it is tough to get a result at Glan Conwy and it is quite possibly due to the pitch being a little smaller than others which can restrict other teams. They are a good side though and we only just got the result at home. "
We thought Denbigh Town did well against Queens Park at home on a very muddy pitch and asked Dewi if he was pleased " Yes, of course we are glad we are through to the next round of the FAW Trophy" he replied. " I thought we played well in the first half but the performance was not quite there in the second period and there is room for improvement. The pitch was cut up by then in fairness. Moses Barnett did well in defence playing in his first game for us. He is a talker and there was a lot of communication between him and Jon Terry which is what we want throughout the side. Jake kept his goal tally up which is good. We have signed another player today. He is 18 yr old Jacob Barratt and joins us from Connahs Quay Nomads where he has been playing Academy football. He is very skilful, fit and is a real prospect and I hope to include him in the squad tomorrow."
Connor Davies is the danger man for Glan Conwy on eight league goals this season although our own man Jake Walker leads the scorers' league on eleven and, as Dewi alludes, he is keen on adding more.
Let's get that win. C'mon Denbigh !
