Bangor 1876 v Denbigh Town
Date: 11/10/2024
Kick-Off: 19:45
Location: Nantporth
Competition: JD Cymru North

Form

Denbigh were last in action on Friday when Mold Alexandra came to Central Park. Owen Davies opened the scoring just before the break and Town looked to be on course for three points, but for the second time this season Mold struck in stoppage time to share the points. Our last game on the road came at Holywell Town where Davies and Sam Duffy netted at opposite ends of the game to beat the reigning champions.

Bangor will be looking to bounce back from their last outing which saw them edged out 3-2 away at Penrhyncoch. Also haunted by a late goal, Zac Davies’ 92nd minute goal recorded a big win at Cae Baker for the hosts. Their last game at Nantporth saw Bangor run out 1-0 winners of Gresford Athletic.

Head to Head

This will be the first meeting between the two sides this season with the last game between the sides coming in April of this year. Josh Lock and Owen Davies gave Denbigh a two goal advantage before a second-half fightback for Bangor at Central Park. The last clash between the two sides at Nantporth came in August 2023 with the home side taking three points in a 2-1 success. Town’s last win away at Bangor came in March 2023 at Treborth.

Stat Pack

Denbigh are looking to go three games unbeaten for the first time this season.

Denbigh are looking for back-to-back away wins for the first time since November 2023.

A win at Nantporth would be Denbigh’s first against a Bangor side. Town won at Treborth in 2023 and the old Bangor City at Farrar Road in 2011. Denbigh’s only other win at Nantporth came in May 2014 in the Mawddach Cup Final, beating Llandudno Junction 4-1.
