First-Team, Reserves and Ladies all in action

It's been a busy weekend for Denbigh Town with three of it's senior sides all in action over the last three days.

Denbigh were represented on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as the Men's First Team, Reserves and Ladies all did battle.

First Team

Dewi Llion's side kicked off their JD Cymru North campaign with a trip to Flint Town United. Despite an early set back going a goal down after two minutes the Reds regrouped and levelled through Tom Weir on his league debut. However, a sucker punch in the second half saw the title-favourites Flint go ahead and it ended 2-1.

Reserves

Liam Nash's Reserves side continued their pre-season campaign by welcoming Kinmel Bay Reserves to Central Park. After going 2-0 down early on they kicked on and went into the break leading 3-2 thanks to goals from Olly Hansen (first-half brace) and Rhys Lloyd.

In the second half Town came out all guns blazing and netted a further five goals via Hansen to complete is hatrick, a James Thomas brace, a second for Lloyd and Alekander Cyra.

Ladies

Denbigh Town Ladies rounded off the weekend on Sunday by welcoming Frodsham Women to LL16. Ellen Lawson's side were following up their match-up with Scottish side Annan Athletic by making their return to the Central Park pitch for the first time since May.

Elen James-Owen was on the scoresheet as the girls fell to a 3-1 defeat. In the final few minutes, goalkeeper Netty Young saved a penalty to prevent a fourth.
