Denbigh Town Football Club are pleased to announce that Simon Roberts has been appointed as a First Team Coach at Central Park.
The 27-year-old joins the club from St Asaph City where he was most recently in charge of the Saints Reserves side as a player-manager.
An experienced striker in North Wales, Roberts most recently played for St Asaph having joined from Llanefydd, where he enjoyed a successful two-year stint. During this time he began collecting his coaching qualifications including his FAW C Licence and specialised work in analysis.
He now moves on from Roe Plas Meadow to link up with Dewi Llion’s coaching staff ahead of the JD Cymru North campaign.
“I’m really happy to make the move to Denbigh Town and join up with Dewi’s coaching staff” said Roberts.
“This feels like the right move as I continue to progress in my own development as a coach, the structure being put in place will allow us all to have success next season whilst off the field this is a really exciting organisation to be a part of.
“I’m really excited to get going with such a highly skilled group of players and meet everyone else at the club”.
“Simon’s a young up-and-coming coach who already has experience at a good level” said Town boss Dewi Llion.
“He’s enthusiastic and knowledgable and will be a great addition for us, he’s come in and brings fresh eyes to what we’re doing and I look forward to working with him throughout the summer and going into the new season”.
Welcome to Denbigh, Si!
