- Everything you need to know ahead of the derby

This Boxing Day sees one of the festive season’s biggest events coming round once more, the Vale of Clwyd Derby.

Central Park will host a huge game in less than a week as old foes Ruthin Town arrive at LL16, and this guide tells you everything supporters will need to know for the big day.

Key Facts

Denbigh Town v Ruthin Town
Date:
26/12/2024
Kick-Off: 13:00
Competition: JD Cymru North

Tickets

The match as with every game at Central Park will be pay on the gate but will be cash only. No tickets are being sold in advance.

Supporters are encouraged to bring cash with them for this match for entry, food, drink and merchandise. Admission will be priced as follows:

Adults: £7
Concessions: £5
Under-16: £2

Entry to the ground will be via the main gates where two turnstiles will be in operation to cater for a larger-than-usual crowd and ensure supporters can pass through as quickly and safely as possible. The gates will be open from 11am with the bar opening at the same time.

Supporters are asked not to bring rucksacks into the ground for this match whilst smaller bags may be checked for prohibited items on entry. Anybody attempting to bring alcohol into the ground will be refused entry.

Parking

Parking at Central Park will be extremely limited and supporters are encouraged not to attempt to park outside the ground. We encourage supporters to park at the following:

Plas Pigot: LL16 3ER (Four-minute walk)
Denbigh Retail Park: LL16 3BS (Five minute walk)

Please note, the Plas Pigot has requested for parking on the car park only and not on the grass surrounding.

Other free and paid car parks in the town include Barkers Well Lane, Crown Lane, Factory Ward, Mount Pleasant, Post Office Lane, Townsend and Vale Street. The full list with details can be viewed by clicking here.

Disabled Parking

Disabled parking will be available to blue badge holders for this match. We encourage anyone attending to contact the club beforehand to ensure that we can reserve these spaces. The car park within the ground will be closed an hour before the match due to the second point of entry.

Spaces will be reserved outside the ground but these are limited. To book a space contact info@denbightownfc.co.uk.

Public Transport

Supporters should be aware that no public transport will be running in the area. Bus services will not be running at all on Boxing Day.

Food & Drink

Food and drink will be available within the ground for supporters.

An additional outdoor bar will be available on the afternoon to cater for a larger than usual crowd whilst food will remain available within the clubhouse. A selection of beers, ciders and wine will be available. The designated area for drinking in the ground will be the main stand. Alcohol must not be consumed anywhere else in the ground. Alcohol may not be brought into Central Park under any circumstances and supporters attempting to bring alcohol into the ground will not be admitted.

Meanwhile we’ve made additions to our food menu with the usual burgers available along with Pizza twists, peppered steak slices and cheese and onion pasties.

Pyrotechnics

The club would like to remind supporters that pyrotechnics including smoke bombs are strictly prohibited at Central Park. Any supporters attempting to bring these items into the ground will be refused entry and anyone letting off pyrotechnics will receive a ban from Central Park, for both Denbigh Town and Welsh international matches. This is to ensure the safety and enjoyment of fellow supporters.

Match-Day Programme

Match programmes will be available both online and in print. The printed programme will have a limited run so supporters are encouraged to be early to secure theirs. The online programme will be made available in the run-up to the match.

Press/Media

Any press or media requests for this match should come to the club with at least two days’ notice. E-mail denbighmedia@gm
