Form
Town come into the game on the back of a huge three points on Wednesday night when travelling to Llanrwst. The Roosters originally took the lead but held on to it for just four minutes as Nathan Brown levelled for Denbigh. A Craig Pritchard double secured a massive victory to keep the title race rolling. It was Town’s biggest relief of the campaign after losing twice on the bounce for the first time since August against Trethomas Bluebirds and Llay.
Nantlle Vale currently sit 5th in the standings as they see out their season this weekend. Following four wins on the spin they took on Bangor last Friday where the Citizens picked up the win 3-1. A week prior the Vale put an end to Rhyl’s title ambitions as they saw of the Lilywhites 3-4 at Bellevue. Rhyl couldn’t keep up with the Joneses as Math, Jamie (brace) and Richard Jones netted for the visitors from Gwynedd. It followed on from wins over Llandudno Albion, Brickfield Rangers and Llay all of which came on the road.
Head to Head
This will be the second time the two sides have met this season having faced off at Maes Dulyn at the end of March. Paul Fleming’s 56th minute effort was the difference on the day and extended Denbigh’s unbeaten run in 2023. Nantlle Vale’s last trip to Central Park saw the Penygroes side advance in the Ardal Northern League Cup on penalties after a 2-2 draw in January 2022. Their last league trip came back in November 2021 where goals from Jake Walker (brace) and Jacob Barratt secured a 3-1 win for Town.
